Before joining The Information Lab in 2020, I studied Economics and History. I found that the analytical, problem solving and communication skills I developed during my studies provided a solid foundation for a role in data analytics. During my 3 years at TIL I have discovered that I enjoy transforming raw data into compelling visual narratives by creating dynamic dashboards in both Tableau and PowerBI that facilitate data-driven decision-making. My expertise extends to Alteryx, where I streamline data preparation and automate workflows, saving valuable time and ensuring data accuracy.

Leveraging these tools, I have successfully helped organisations in the Transport, Energy and Finance sectors optimise operations, uncover hidden trends, and drive business growth. Since joining the Core Consulting team in 2022 I have developed a deeper understanding of how these tools work behind the scenes. This has involved server upgrades, health checks and cloud readiness assessments.

Passionate musician and craft enthusiast

I have always had a passion for music and started playing the violin and piano when I was 8 years old. While I achieved grades 8 and 6 in these instruments during school, they are now leisure hobbies for me. However, I am currently on the hunt for an orchestra to join. In addition, I have recently taught myself how to play the guitar and enjoy attempting to play songs on it.

When the lockdown hit in 2020, I found myself with a lot of free time outside of work. I have always enjoyed crafting and making things, so I took up several hobbies during this time, including crocheting, knitting, and embroidery. Among these, my favourite is crocheting, and I particularly enjoy making gifts for family and friends. I received a sewing machine as a birthday gift this year, so I am excited to experiment with it.
