Tableau Desktop vs Tableau Web Editor – Updated
After quite a few requests I have finally got around to updating my original post – https://theinformationlab.co.uk/2015/09/02/tableau-desktop-vs-tableau-web-editor/. I have added information for the new versions that have been released and the option to be able to choose which version of web editing you want to see. There have been quite a few updates to the world of web editing so let me know if I missed any. Click the image below to view the workbook published on Tableau Public.

Hi,
Do you have the latest differences between desktop and server in 10.4?
Hi Sandeep, hopefully this will be coming soon!
At this point, wait until 10.5 comes out
Hi,
Thank you so much for your work! Very impressive.
I stumbled across that it seems you don’t have any info on actions. I think they are quite important. As far as in 10.4, you can’t create highlight and url actions in Web and set up some complex filter actions…
Hi Al, that’s a good point. I will have a look at this when I next update. Thanks
This is fantastic, thanks for this!
