Red Amber Green Analysis in Tableau
Here’s a quick video demonstrating how to create a RAG dashboard in Tableau. This is a useful way of visually binning values across multiple measures for a dimension and is used widely in risk and project management. This method utilises some simple calculated fields and the shapes function in Tableau.
For best practice you may want to consider swapping red and green symbols for other more colour blind friendly options but for the purposes of this demo I’ve left it as the traditional colours.
Hope you find it useful!
