Who we are

Our Background

The Information Lab was founded in 2010 by Tom Brown to help people make sense of data. In pursuit of this vision the company's initial focus was on equipping thousands of people and companies with the skills and software they needed to effectively work with data. We were one of the first premier partners of Tableau and Alteryx in the UK and the success of our consulting and training team saw The Information Lab expand into eight different countries across Europe.

As demand increased the availability of data consultants along with the ability of data teams across all organisations to expand became an issue. To address this we created The Data School with its mission to introduce thousands of people to careers in data analytics. We have so far completed over one thousand consulting projects and launched the career of hundreds of data professionals.

All of this has been underpinned by our values of maintaining a curiosity to learn, sharing knowledge far and wide, creativity and most of all growing and supporting our data community.

Over the past 5 years my team has developed analytical insights which have generated multi million dollar savings of which a considerable amount can be attributed to the Data School consultants we have had working on projects.
